The Second Workshop on ‘Titan – Observations, Experiments, Computations, and Modeling’ is to be held in Miami, Florida between March 24-26, 2008. This workshop is part of the NSF-Collaborative Research in Chemistry (CRC) Network "Chemistry of Unsaturated Hydrocarbons in Titan's Atmosphere” and the second in a series of annual meetings aimed to better understand the hydrocarbon chemistry taking place in the atmosphere and on the surface of Titan. The registration deadline is December 31st 2007, forms and more information can be found here.


The RAS National Astronomy Meeting 2008 will be hosted by Queen's University Belfast in its centenary year. Monday 31st March 2008 is reserved for registration at the meeting. The scientific sessions will run from 9am Tuesday 1st April to 5pm Friday 4th April.


A Topical Session on Bridging Laboratory and Astrophysics at the 212th Meeting of the American Astronomical Society held between June 1-5, 2008, in St. Louis, Missouri, and hosted by the AAS Working Group on Laboratory Astrophysics. Abstract submission deadline is the 30th April 2008.


The third conference of the Astrobiology Society of Britain, ASB3: The Living Universe, will take place at the University of Glamorgan from July 1st to 4th, 2008. For more information please view the conference flyer.


The 25th European Conference on Surface Science will be held between the 27th July and 1st August 2008 at the University of Liverpool. Registration is not yet open.


The Surface and Interface Processes at the Molecular Level meeting will be held in the Il Ciocco Conference Centre, Nr. Lucca in Italy, and will commence with registration on Sunday afternoon 17th August and finish on the morning of Saturday 23rd August 2008.


Faraday Discussion 141: Water - From Interfaces to the Bulk will be held between the 27th and 29th August 2008 at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Faraday Discussion 141, organised by the Faraday Division, plans to achieve a unification of views towards the goal of understanding the microscopic structure and behaviour of condensed phases of water at interfaces and progressing into the bulk.


The Astrochemistry Young Researchers Meeting will be held at Lenton andWortley Hall, University of Nottingham, 11am - 5pm, Friday 12th September 2008. There will be no registration fee for this meeting and tea/coffee/lunchwill be provided free of charge. Registration is now open, the deadline is Friday 29th August 2008.


Registration is now open for the Royal Observatory Edinburgh Workshop 2008 entitled "Habitability in our Galaxy" between 8th and 10th October 2008. The scope of the meeting is to consider the origins of life in our galaxy. The aim is to gather researchers from areas including astrophysics, geophysics and biology. The workshop will also include discussions on astronomical instruments, both present and future, and laboratory based experiments studying extreme environments.
