Fielding Group

Our group employs lasers to investigate the spectroscopy and dynamics of the excited states of atoms, small molecules, organic molecules and biomolecules in the gas-phase and on metal surfaces. We are also interested in developing ways to control the photophysics and photochemistry of these systems using ultrafast laser technology. Our research involves a combination of experiment and theory. We have a number of collaborations with experimentalists and theoreticians in the UK and abroad.
