Anthony C Legon

Tenure:
Lecturer 1970 - 1983
Reader 1983 - 1984
Professor 1989 - 1990

Professor Legon has worked in the area of microwave spectroscopy, using it to elucidate some of the more subtle structural details of the hydrogen bond. He moved to the University of Exeter in 1984 (with a brief stint back at UCL in 1989-90) where he is still active in research . He was elected FRS in 1999.

He is remembered by some alumni as being the marker to avoid in physical chemistry labs. A compliment, n'est-ce pas?
