Jack Lewis Lord Lewis Of Newham Tenure: Lecturer 1957 - 1961 Reader 1961 - 1962 Professor 1967 - 1970

An inorganic chemist, Prof Lewis was one of the key figures in the growth of transition metal cluster chemsitry and collaborated closely with Brian Johnson. Lewis moved from UCL to Cambridge where he was head of Department for many years and remains active in research.
