Mary R Truter Tenure: Professor 1971 - 1973 Emeritus Professor 1973

"Jackie" Truter claims to owe her existence to the UCL Chemistry Department. Her parents met as chemistry undergraduates. The rest, as they say, is history. She is one of the several eminent crystallographers who have been associated with this Department. She carried out many crystallographic studies in the heroic days of crown ethers and continues, well into her retirement, to provide advice and comment on current crystallographic problems
