Young Researchers Meeting organized by Astrosurf, sponsored by RSC/RAS Astrophysical Chemistry Group.

The AstroSurf Network arranges one day meetings aimed primarily at PhD students and young/new postdocs in astrochemistry. The meetings cover many different facets of Astrochemistry research, from observational work in all regions of the spectrum, through theoretical modelling, to laboratory data.

Young astrochemists are invited (and encouraged!) to present their work in short 15/20 minute talks. It is envisaged that this meeting will illustrate the diversity of our field to many young researchers, and provide a wonderful introduction to the field for newer PhD/postdoctoral workers.

Registration for the meeting, including lunch and a wine reception, is free of charge, however students/postdocs coming from outside London are eligible for financial help of up to £100 towards travel costs and should apply for a bursary before the event.

The AstroSurf young researchers meetings are held in the Chemistry Department at UCL, which can be found at 20 Gordon Street, London. The nearest tube stations are Euston, Euston Square and Warren Street. Maps can be found here.

The last two meetings were a big success, with the first on the 19th September 2005 and the latest on the 21st September 2006. Click on the links to view their respective programmes and the presentations given.
